“I first started painting in Venezuela in the eighties under the tuition of 2 professional artists. Antonio Galeandro from Uruguay and Cuban artist Siomara Ochoa. My artwork tends to focus on portraits and figures. Over the years I have drawn and painted many portraits of clients and friends from photos or from life. I feel a connection with them which enables me to represent on paper or canvas what I really see to achieve a good likeness. I also dedicate part of my time to giving tuition, for beginners or the more advanced, on how to draw and paint using different mediums and subjects.”
